SLAUTER XSTROYES Working On New Material

July 14, 2008

Reactivated Chicago cult metal band SLAUTER XSTROYES is writing material for a new CD which will include brand new songs as well as re-worked numbers that have never been officially released. "I have secluded myself in the desert and am working full-time on the new tracks without any distractions," said vocalist Jonathan Stewart.

Proceeds from a recently released DVD ("Exhumed") of Jonathan's solo band ENERGY VAMPIRES will help finance the recording process for not only the SLAUTER XSTROYES CD but perhaps another ENERGY VAMPIRES album as well. "I certainly have enough material for new albums from both bands that really deserve to be heard by the fans," Jonathan said.

Earlier this year Jonathan teamed up with Monster Vision Publishing to produce and distribute a DVD of never-before-seen live footage of ENERGY VAMPIRES. The disc is set to a music video-type theme that includes footage from 1991-1992 shows in Hollywood, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, and Chicago.
